Join us for a special guided hike to explore the Spring Waterfalls and Wildflowers in the western side of Bays Mountain Park that connects to Laurel Run Park! Observe as the forest floor comes alive with color. Discover delicate trilliums, violets, and other native blooms while learning how these early flowers support pollinators and signal the changing seasons. This relaxed, family-friendly walk highlights the beauty, ecology, and importance of our Appalachian spring ephemerals.
Exciting News – A new bridge has been built across the creek!
Laurel Run Park is considered one of the best places for Spring ephemeral wildflowers. The north-facing slope, combined with a limestone substrate, and being in a rugged forested stream valley, make it an ideal place for ephemerals.
Please be sure to bring water and wear comfortable clothes, including sturdy walking shoes, for this short hike!
