Welcome in 2022 by exploring the great outdoors along a guided hike at BMP.

Lace up your hiking boots to experience a cool, quiet morning having the park all to yourself. The park Naturalists will provide two different hikes throughout the park that feature two different trails. This is a free program. Pre-registration is required since space is limited for each hike. Call the Nature Center at (423) 229-9447. Both hikes will start at 10am and end around 12pm.

1. Lakeside Trail – Moderate hike with some elevation change. Hike will cover 2.4 miles round trip. Great for children younger then seven years of age. Meet in front of the Nature Center along the walkway.

2. Cliffside Trail – Advanced trail with several steps. Several overlooks along the trail. Hike will cover over one mile round trip. Great hike for children older than eight years of age. Hike will meet above the cabin near the observatory.
