First Day Hike
Start the new year on the right foot! Join park staff for a guided hike through the winter woods and explore the sights, sounds, and crisp winter smells of the mountain. This is a family-friendly program that offers a great opportunity to bring in the new year by connecting with nature.
Be sure to layer up and wear sturdy shoes. Both hikes will begin from the Nature Center entrance at 10:00 a.m. and plan to end around 12:00 p.m.
There are two trails to choose from! Our Lakeside Trail is a 2.5 mile loop around the mountain’s reservoir, and is considered moderate difficulty. Our Cliffside Trail is a shorter .5 mile hike, but is considered an advanced difficulty. Steep terrain may not be suitable for young children.
