Kayak Skywatch ~ It’s an astronomy program with a twist.

Enjoy an evening along Bays Mountain Reservoir from the comforts of your own canoe/kayak/sup (stand up paddle board) while viewing the night sky. It’s an astronomy program with a twist. Join park staff, in the middle of the reservoir, for a guided hike through the night sky. Learn about constellations and viewable planets with the naked eye. Park guests are required to bring their own boats/SUP and paddling equipment along with a type III personal flotation device. Cost is $5 per person for non-members. Pre-registration is required by calling the Nature Center at (423) 229-9447. Meet at the dam. For public health and safety purposes, this program will be limited to 12 boats. Please practice proper social distancing when launching and on the water. Face coverings required.
