A Beginner’s Guide to Using a Telescope

When: 6:30 p.m.
Where: Bays Mountain Park Observatory Ground (Planetarium Theater if weather is poor.)

Do you own a telescope but have only had difficulty when trying to use it? You are not alone! This special program will cover the basic elements of your telescope and what they do. We’ll provide you with some tips on how to properly set up your telescope and make observations, so you’ll have an enriching experience under the stars.

This program is for individuals or families that own a simple telescope. Telescopes will not be provided. If you have a computer-controlled telescope, you must provide your own power source.

Cost: $8/per telescope. Multiple family members ages 10 and above may attend. Limited to 10 telescopes.
