Overview
The Zip line known as The Flying Squirrel, is a 300 foot thrill ride that takes your breath away. Participants are secured with a safety harness and belayed to cables on a 35 ft. tower. Participants begin from the tower behind the Farmstead Museum and zip through the natural beauty of Bays Mountain Park towards the Amphitheater.
The Flying Squirrel is included in each of our team building and group programs. It may also be scheduled by groups as a separate adventure. See the Adventure Page for more information >>
Riding The Flying Squirrel
The Flying Squirrel is open only on certain days and times for individual rides. See the box to the right for the zip line hours of operation.
Tickets for the zip line are $10 per person per ride and may be purchased at the Nature Center Gift shop. Tickets are $5 for Park Association Members.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the stated time in order to complete the required paperwork.
- Ticket is for one ride during the hour beginning at the time for which you have reserved.
- A limited number of tickets are available during the hours of operation.
- There is a weight limit of 275 pounds to ride the The Flying Squirrel zip line.
- There are no age restrictions, but individuals must be able to fit into the safety harness and helmet to ride the zip line.

Groups
Groups may schedule a special session on the Flying Squirrel zip line during weekdays with a Minimum of 10 and a Maximum of 35 in group. Please call 229 -9447 for more information.
