Summer Science Camp

Daily – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
June 12-23, 2017

Bays Mountain Park & Planetarium, in collaboration with faculty and students of East Tennessee State University offers a Summer Science Camp for high school students. Each day includes lectures by ETSU professors, hikes in the park, lab work and lots of fun.

From natural history to bioinformatics and data analysis.

  • Study terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems of the Park.
  • Learn and identify trees, flowers, mushrooms, birds and aquatic life of the Park.
  • Learn to program and analyze data.
  • Feed wolves and raptors.
  • Visit Clinch River and the Gray Fossil Site and Natural History Museum.
  • Work on a research project.
  • Camp in the Park’s primitive camping area.
  • Change your life!

Important Information:

~Program is for children ages 12 – 16.
~Tuition is $195 per child per week; $390 for two weeks.
~The number of participants is limited to 15.
