Public Planetarium Shows

Planetarium programs are presented to the public Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 and 4:00 p.m throughout the year. From June through August the programs are also presented at the above times Monday through Friday.

The public program is also shown on Tuesdays and Thursdays, during the months of Sept.-May, at 3:15 p.m.

Public program tickets are $1.50 per person. However, children under six are allowed free entrance when accompanied by an adult family member. Public programs are geared for family audiences and are suitable for ages 10 and above.

Group rates to public shows are available by calling 423-229-9447. The group must have at least 15 people and no other discounts may be used with group rates. Please tell the person responding to the phone that you are wishing to obtain group rates and be prepared to give them the date and time of the show you are interested in.

School Planetarium Shows

Special school programs are available from September through May. These presentations are scheduled on mornings and early afternoons from Tuesday through Friday.

School program fees are $2.00 per person. We prefer that school groups limit the number of adults they bring to only an amount necessary to supervise the field trip. The total number of students and adults must be included at the time of reservation to ensure seating in the planetarium.
