Free Sun & Stargazes This Spring!

March 2nd, 2017 by

The Bays Mountain Astronomy Club is hosting free observing sessions!

SunWatch will start on the first weekend of March and be held each clear Sat. & Sun., 3-3:30 p.m. These free viewings will be held at the dam with a telescope that provides an exceptional (and safe) view of the Sun.

Our free, evening stargaze is called StarWatch. It is held every Saturday night of March & April starting at dusk. We’ll use large telescopes to view many wonderful celestial objects like: Planets, Star Clusters, the Moon, Nebulae, Galaxies, and much more! If the weather is poor, we’ll be in the planetarium theater inside instead with a live tour of the night sky.
