New Planetarium Campaign  

Each year the Bays Mountain Planetarium provides quality programming to more than 150,000 visitors from all over the world. For more than 30 years, the planetarium has helped students from 45 different counties understand the complex processes that shape our planet, our solar system, and the universe beyond.
Now, with the generous support of people like you, the new Planetarium Theater has an opportunity to continue it’s status as the state-of-the-art facility for the region and become a model for planetariums throughout the U.S.

Categories and Benefits

Similar to the Park’s popular animal adoptions, donors may choose to adopt a bright star in the planetarium’s new state-of-the-art fiber-optic star field. Donors will receive a certificate of adoption along with detailed information about the adopted star.

Adoption lasts for one calendar year and is available at the following levels:

	$100	Reserved for the brightest stars.
	$50	This level contains stars of medium brightness.
	$25	Plenty of bright stars to choose from within this category.

Donors who make a gift of $500 will have the opportunity to name a seat in the newly refurbished Planetarium Theater. In recognition of your generosity, a commemorative plaque to be displayed in the Nature Center lobby will feature your name for each seat that you sponsor. Seat donors will also receive two tickets to an exclusive gala event to celebrate the opening of the new planetarium.
Sponsorship is good for the life of each seat, estimated at around 30 years.

The Bays Mountain Planetarium would be delighted to name a seat for you, or in honor or in memory
of a friend, colleague, or family member.

Starting at $1,000, an individual or business can help sponsor the production of one of the Park’s planetarium shows. In recognition of helping our talented creative staff via show sponsorship, sponsor’s name will be listed in the credits. Show Sponsors will also receive two tickets to an exclusive gala event to celebrate the opening of the new planetarium. The opportunity also exists for donors who wish to be a sole sponsor of a planetarium production.

For a minimum $10,000 donation, sponsors will help ensure the continued quality educational programming and outreach provided through the planetarium theater. In honor of your support, an elegant constellation sculpture will be displayed in the foyer of the new Planetarium Theater. Each constellation will be accompanied by a sign at eye level featuring the sponsor’s name and a description of the constellation. Constellation Sponsors will also receive at least four tickets to an exclusive gala event to celebrate the opening of the new planetarium. Constellation sculpture is good for the life of the theater, estimated at around 30 years.
